We are so pleased to welcome back Miss Cassie for her fourth year! Miss Cassie comes from a very theatrical background and took her first ballet class at the age of three. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre with a Minor in Dance from the University of Arizona. After college, Miss Cassie spent a few years performing aboard Holland America Cruise Ships and had the opportunity to travel all over the world! She has performed in numerous professional Musical Theatre productions, has taught a wide range of Performing Arts classes and is certified through the American Fitness and Aerobics Association as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. After moving here from Arizona, Ms. Cassie, her Husband James, Cat Sammy and Dog Bailey live in West Houston’s Energy Corridor. She has a true love and appreciation for the arts and a passion for sharing it with those around her!
Just like her young dance students, Shelly began ballet and tap class at the age of 4 and went on to study jazz, modern, character dance, drill team, drama, pointe, and Pilates. She furthered her dance training in classical ballet while performing with the civic ballet company, City Ballet of Houston. She has been awarded dance scholarships and studied with such schools as Joffrey Ballet in New York. After dancing professionally with Louisville Ballet, Ms. Reynolds danced with Marymount Manhattan College Dance Ensemble. While earning her B.A. in Dance at Belhaven College, she began teaching students ranging in age from 2 to adult! She enjoys sharing the joy of learning dance and the thrill of performing. In 2001, Shelly earned her B.A. in Dance at Belhaven College and returned to Houston to continue pursuing her passion in teaching and instilling the love of dance and movement with her students who know her affectionately as Miss Shelly!
Miss Carolyn began dance classes very young at Marguerite Benson-Hall School of Dance where she also began her teaching career. She attended Julius T. Wright College Prep School for girls and then attended Springhill College in Mobile and then Faulkner State in Bay Minette, Alabama. After college and marriage, she moved to Houston where she began teaching at Carolyn Roberts Dance School until it closed and then began with Fierce Ultimate Dance Company as well as the YMCA. Not only does Mrs. Carolyn teach dance but she has taught piano, music, MDO classes and horseback riding with Gleannloch Equestrian. Mrs. Carolyn and her husband have 3 beautiful daughters’ Victoria 25, Grace 22, Ella 11 as well as 2 Puppy Dogs, Little Bit and Penny, 2 Guinea Pigs named Patches and Oreo and a Hermit Crab without a name! As you can tell, she absolutely LOVES teaching and inspiring young children and truly appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in your little dancers’ life!
Miss Dawn began dancing at the young age of 3 and has been dancing ever since! She was active in both dance and gymnastics for years. Miss Dawn performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade while serving as Major of her high school drill team which was a very memorable experience for this dancer! After graduating high school, she became an Aggie receiving her business degree from Texas A&M and then continued at Sam Houston State University where she received her MBA. She has been actively teaching dance for 5 years beginning at Carolyn Roberts Dance Studio and also the YMCA. Miss Dawn specializes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, and drill team. She’s married and the proud Mom of 2 children ages 15 and 12.
Miss Trisha loves children as well as inspiring them to dance. She lives in the Montgomery
area but grew up in Houston, Texas where she began dancing at the age of 5. She trained in Ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics and lyrical for 15 years at Nancy’s School of Dance Art where she had the opportunity to begin her love for teaching dance to young children. In 1988 at a National Competition in Las Vegas she took first place in the genre of tap. She attended multiple conventions that were taught by Dance Educators of America. Mrs. Trisha joined drill team for all four years of her high school career. After she married and had four children, she returned to the studio to extend her studies to include hip-hop where she competed with an Adult Hip-Hop team. She has been married for 23 years and has 4 children, 4 grandchildren & 1 on the way!

Ms. Lauren grew up in Beaumont, Texas, training at Marsha Woody Academy of Dance and iRule Dance Studio. She continued taking dance on a collegiate level at Belhaven University and then at Lamar University, graduating with a B.A. in English and a minor in Dance. Post-graduation, Lauren became a member of Ad Deum II Dance Company and danced with them Spring 2014- Spring 2016. Lauren has performed works by Randall Flinn, Shizu Yasuda, Durell Comedy (Limon Dance Company), and Dani Hammack (Martha Graham). While a company member of ADII, Lauren performed nationally at Project Dance Houston and NYC. Her international performance experience includes cities throughout Spain and Hungary, where she performed and taught in children’s homes, juvenile detention centers, prisons, and churches. She is currently a member of Mei/Co. Dance Company, which seeks to honor those who are enduring or have endured cancer by telling their stories through dance. As a choreographer, Lauren has choreographed for multiple musical productions, including Seussical the Musical Jr., 101 Dalmatians Jr., and Willy Wonka. Lauren has also spent several years teaching dance, working with a wide age range of students in varying classical techniques and loves sharing her love of dance and movement with all her littles!

Her training and studying of dance continued at Wright State University, University of Illinois, and at ADF at Duke University in North Carolina. She was also a member of the internationally renowned Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II. She has taught public and private schools through out Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois prior to moving to Houston with her family. She has conducted workshops in Modern Dance throughout the Midwest and her professional performances have been seen in the world premieres such as Elegba Crossing: The Journey of Spirit, and as Mary in the Langston Hughes Black Nativity both at The Madame C.J. Walker Theatre. She has choreographed and performed in several top-grossing shows at the American Cabaret Theatre in downtown Indianapolis. Mrs. Kenyetta is married and has 3 children. She loves every opportunity of using her artistic and creative skills to provide her little dancers with a lifetime love for dance!
